losing my #006
‘Losing my…’ reflects on the 21st-century Western loss of trust and social cohesion, and the crumbling of pillars like truth, democracy, meaning, religion. In this series LESY transcends digital skills, and merges them with traditional painting techniques and photography.
The beating heart, though, remains human creation. LESY's mastery and craft will leave the viewer confused by the combination of ancient symbols and state-of-the-art techniques that give each work a strangely aged appearance.
Confronted, as in ancient times, with true mystery, you will see each piece pose fundamental questions in a new light. Is it... or isn't it? Is the person portrayed even real? What remains real today? What is real? To counter the never-ending, ever-expanding digital universe, each work will remain unique and only printed in very limited versions.
